Guidelines and Policies

Thank you for visiting my blog. Your readership is greatly appreciated, but I also love listening to new ideas and perspectives. I encourage you to comment and voice your stance, whatever that may be, in this open environment.

My blog is divided into two separate categories:

• Insights & Thoughts - these are my personal opinions on topics I regard as important moral issues and broad trends that I have noticed with society.
• University Writing - these are posts for my University Writing course.

Discussion and Free Speech Guidelines
While I encourage your discussion and participation and will adhere to my strong belief in free expression and speech, I reserve the right to remove comments on the basis that they:

• contain obscene, indecent or profane language;
• contain threats or defamatory statements;
• contain discriminatory or hate speech directed at, but not limited to specific groups of age, color, disability, ethnicity, national origin, race, religion, sex and/or sexual orientation;
• contain solicitations or any other form of spam.

Comments that simply disagree with other opinions (and is viewed as offensive solely based on this fact) will not be removed as I encourage everyone with any viewpoint to comment.

Identity Guidelines
To make discussions richer and more valuable, the commenting system is powered by Google+, just like on YouTube.

This acts as an identity system that improves accountability and credibility of those wishing to participate, thereby lending to more substantive commentary that forwards the conversation. There are no barriers to commenting, and likewise, comments are not moderated or pre-screened.
